Running for Victory 5K in Eden Prairie, MN – Sunday, August 6, 2017 – 8:30 AM

Please join your community in support of the 5th Annual Running for Victory,  a 5K fun run/walk to be held at Staring Lake Park in Eden Prairie, MN on August 6, 2017 at 8:30 am. A worship service will follow the race at 10:00 am along with a free lunch at 11:00 am. The race is supported by Victory Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie. Our goal is to raise money for our charity partner, Educate Tanzania, Inc. (ETI). Educate Tanzania partners with the most effective organizations in the world to bring education to Tanzania, specifically around agri-business and sustainable farming. Their first project is to build KARUCO – Karagwe University College. Check out more at EducateTanzania.org. Last year, our participants and sponsors presented ETI with a check for $3200!! The mission of Running for Victory is to support charities, locally and beyond, by bringing together our community in a healthy and fun activity. A free Kid’s 1K run will also be held to help motivate the next generation of active community members!

In the previous three years, Running for Victory and it’s participants have donated over $7000 to charities supporting local and global initiatives. How can you make a tax deductible contribution to support Running for Victory 5K? Consider making a one time donation of $250 by July 1, 2017. This donation will get you TWO complimentary entries to the race ($50 value), and your name on the race t-shirt! Plus, the whole donation is tax deductible!! Race fees for individuals are not tax deductible, regardless of non-profit status. Remember that 100% of dollars leftover from supporting the race will go directly to our partner, Educate Tanzania. We need YOU to contribute, and thank you for considering to do so in this way!

Do you have August 7th on your calendar for the 5K Race, Worship, followed up by our Potluck Picnic?  I hear there my also be a large bouncy apparatus at the picnic this year for the kids.  How fun is that!  Please sign up for the Potluck Picnic this Sunday at church or click here and sign up on line.  Oh, do you want to help with any of the days events?  Just let us know.  Plenty of help is needed and there are plenty of opportunities to help.
